Greetings from our new Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church Web page! I pray that this will be a blessing to you for information necessary in this church body and also for others who are seeking to worship God, believe in Jesus Christ, and be indwelt by His Holy Spirit in a friendly, growing, God-centered, Bible believing church. PMUMC is involved in expanding its ministry through prayer, study, and fellowship to go along with two distinctive worship services, and hopefully a third one to come. As you click through all of the pages, I hope you will see that we are striving to show God's love for all people while we are constructing a spiritual home for those yet to arrive here.

Our church was chartered as Valencia Community Methodist Church April 17, 1957, with 33 charter members. The church continued to meet at the Stover house until early 1959 when the congregation moved into a new building on the property just west of the D.C. Jones dairy on Highway 47. This building had been constructed with donated labor of church members and friends. That building is now our Fellowship Hall. In 1961, the entire congregation pitched in to add an educational wing to the building. In 1962, church members built a parsonage, and in 1989 it was remodeled and today is the Wright Building. In 1966, the two churches merged and the name "Peralta Memorial Methodist Church" was chosen in honor of the founding of Methodism in this area.
In 1968, "United" was added to the church name, and it became the "Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church" when the Evangelical United Brethren and Methodist Churches were merged.
The current sanctuary was consecrated on April 21, 1991.
