WELCOME to our new Co-Directors Tiffany Karney and Shiya Genson!!!
A new session of LOGOS will begin in September — check back in August, for specific start date and registration information!!! Thank you.
LOGOS is uniquely designed to give children and youth an arena in which to experience Kingdom of God living every week while they build and sustain relationships with each other and the trained staff who work with them.
LOGOS consists of four parts: Bible Study: Where they learn the Word of God
Worship Skills: Where they learn what Worship really is and practice presentations to offer in weekly worship services
Recreation: Where they learn to play at no one’s expense
Family Time: Where they share dinner with an assigned table family
The four parts combined with carefully trained staff create an environment where children are loved unconditionally and all follow the only rule of LOGOS:
I am a Child of God and deserve to be treated that way!
LOGOS is a weekly event that happens every Tuesday from 4:30 to 7:45. (during school year) — (see below for info on tutoring/homework help). We also provide a nursery so parents can come and assist in all areas of LOGOS with their littlest ones cared for. Parental support is vital to the program as children and youth first learn from their parents and we, at PMUMC, want to ensure that Parents are a part of this mid-week miracle and the relationships that are being built with their children.
HOMEWORK HOUR: We also believe that homework is vital to a child’s growth in their education so we will be having homework hour for all children and/or youth to complete their daily homework before they go to LOGOS. We also have Tutors available to assist the children and youth in completing their homework. The homework session begins at 3:30 and ends at about 4:25, so children and youth can attend LOGOS which starts at 4:30.
Every week we have a different theme for LOGOS where the children and youth can dress accordingly if they would like. For example when we have Crazy Hat Night, all wear the craziest hat they can find.
